Write. For. Your. Life.

What happens when you obsess over scary stories and get a witch’s attention? These scary stories just might save your life.

Based on the novel by JA White, The latest Netflix movie Night books is a horror-fantasy film from PG that is meant to chill out and thrill and is not for the faint of heart.

Alexis (Winslow Fegley) is a creative boy with a strong passion for writing scary stories. But when he’s called weird and dismissed for what he loves, he swears he’ll never write again. It was then that a wicked witch (Krysten Ritter), captures him in his magical New York apartment and asks him to tell him a new story every night if he is to stay alive.

Trapped inside with Lenore, the witch’s evil cat watching her every move, Alex meets Yasmin (Lidya Jewett), another young prisoner who learned to survive the witch’s evil whims. With Yasmin’s help, Alex must learn to embrace what makes him unique – his love for spooky stories – and rewrite his own destiny to set them free.

Night books premieres September 15 on Netflix.
