With just over two months to go until Netflix & the Duffer Bros.‘ stranger things returns for the premiere of its two-part fourth season, the Duffer Bros. share a new set of preview images offering a few more clues as to what viewers can expect. But before we get to that, the duo also had some info to drop when checking in with the Present Company With Krista Smith podcast about the season’s “horror movie” vibe. With the tagline, “Every ending has a beginning,” the official key art for the fourth season that was released last month kicked off in Russia with a Hopper-Joyce reunion. From there, we see Eleven return to her worst nightmare in the second key art poster. With the third poster, familiar faces investigate the truth behind the murders in the Creel house. As the fourth poster takes us to the Byers’ new life in California, a life that is about to be turned upside down. Because even though they are all in different parts of the world, there is always something that connects them all. And then we got the final poster tying it all together. And now the good news: stranger things 4 comes to you in two parts: Volume 1 comes out on May 27, and Volume 2 quickly follows on July 1. The bad news? As The Duffer Bros revealed in a letter below, the series will end with the following fifth season.

Previously Producer Shawn Levy and the folks behind the global phenomenon have released a teaser video confirming that viewers can relax for the rest of the year as their heroes won’t be back until next year. Here’s a preview of that featurette, which also visually recaps the entire series aired so far:
If you feel like you haven’t seen a new episode of stranger things Since the 80s, Levy has been feeling your pain. “To say the incredibly obvious, it’s been way, way, way too long, and it’s happening,” Levy revealed to Variety regarding the global phenomenon’s fourth season earlier this year. But even though it was actually only in 2019, the producer offered some very promising news to fans. “It’s coming quite early. And as to when exactly that will be announced – very soon.”
While the COVID pandemic was a big reason for the length of production, Levy also explained that the fourth season’s expansion in several ways also contributed to the extra time needed. “I filmed in Lithuania right before the pandemic. We filmed in Georgia, Lithuania and New Mexico, so suffice to say Season 4 is sprawling,” he explained. “It’s visually and narratively very ambitious, much more ambitious than the previous three seasons. Much of the delay is due to COVID and the pace at which we have to work to get it done safely, but it also happens to be is the season that we chose to go a lot bigger,” Levy continued. “It’s the magnitude of this season and the multi-settings of season 4.”
Previously we learned that Jamie Campbell Bower (The Mortal Instruments: City of Darkness, Sweeney Todd), Edouard Franco (Booksmart, the frenzy), and joseph quinn (Catherine the Great, Howards End) joined the cast of stranger things as series regulars. Tom Wlaschiha (game of thrones), Sherman Augustus (In the Badlands, Westworld), Mason Dye (Bosch, The Goldbergs), Nikola Djuricko (Genie, in the land of blood and honey), and Robert Englund (Franchise A Nightmare on Elm Street, V) also join in recurring roles. Besides, Brett GelmanMurray Bauman’s was promoted to series regular. Besides, Amybeth McNulty (Anne with an E), Myles Truit (Black Lightning), Regina Ting Chen (queen of the south), and Grace Van Dien (The village) also joined the stranger things to throw.

Djuricko’s Yuri is a seedy and unpredictable Russian smuggler who loves bad jokes, cash, and crunchy peanut butter.
Quinn’s Eddie Munson Is A Bold ’80s Metalhead Who Runs The Hellfire Club, the official D&D club of Hawkins High. Hated by those who don’t understand him – and loved by those who do – Eddie will find himself at the terrifying epicenter of this season’s mystery. Meanwhile, Franco’s Argyle is a fun-loving stoner who proudly delivers delicious pizza for Surfer Boy Pizza and Jonathan’s new best friend. Augustus’ Lt. Col. Sullivan is a smart, no-nonsense man who thinks he knows how to stop the evil in Hawkins once and for all (uh-oh), while Dye’s Jason Carver lives the life of the handsome, rich, athletic. star who is dating the most popular girl in school. That is until a new evil threatening Hawkins turns everyone’s world upside down.
