From Searchlight Pictures, Amy Adams is about to star in a hot horror project Night slutand Variety reports that Scoot McNairy (Once upon a time in Hollywood) has signed.
The “dark and comedic horror film” is directed by Marielle Heller (A beautiful day in the neighborhood), and we heard that it was planned to be a Hulu Original version.
“Night slut tells the story of a woman thrown into the stay-at-home routine of raising a toddler in the suburbs, who slowly embraces the deep-rooted wild power of motherhood, as she becomes increasingly aware of the bizarre and undeniable signs that she could become a dog.”
The movie is based on Rachel Yoderthe noveland Yoder wrote the screenplay.
“Rachel Yoder’s book took my breath away. I didn’t feel that about [a] book since I read The diary of a teenager many years ago,” Heller said in a statement. “Rachel’s dark and hilarious story of motherhood and rage made me feel seen. And adapting it with Amy Adams in mind was what got me through the pandemic. I’m thrilled to donate life in this film with wonderful partners like Anne Carey, Annapurna Pictures and Searchlight. It’s a dream come true.”
Amy Adams will also produce Night slut.
