Directed by Chuck Russell, the film follows Willis as a bounty hunter on the trail of a Hawaiian criminal kingpin played by Travolta.
“Bruce and I became good friends when we shared 2 of our greatest hits together, Pulp Fiction and Look Who’s Talking,” Travolta posted on Instagram when Willis retired due to his aphasia diagnosis. “Years later he said to me, ‘John, I just want you to know that when something good happens to you, it feels like it happens to me.’ That’s how generous he is. I love you Bruce.”

Travolta also returned to the Oscars in March, marking his return to the awards show since 2015. At the event, he regained his pulp Fiction co-stars Uma Thurman and Samuel L. Jackson. The trio were tasked with revealing who won Best Actor that night, which was Will Smith for King Richard. Thurman and Travolta even recreated their signature dance from the film, prompting jokes from Jackson.
“Some actors stay in character for an entire shoot, and some actors…well, they never let go,” Jackson said. “pulp Fiction was a masterpiece, but these two think it was a dance competition.
