20th Century Studios brings Dan Trachtenbergit is (10 Cloverfield Lane) Prey exclusively to Hulu on 5 Augustbut where does the movie take place in the greatest Predator universe?
Talk with SFX Magazine for their latest issue, Trachtenberg explains that although Prey takes place long before the original Predatorit is not a prequel to the original story.
“I mean specifically this, because I think there’s been some confusion about how people understood: in my mind this is not a prequel movie, it’s not, ‘Let’s say the origin of the Predator.’ It’s really something that is set before the original Predator movie,” says Trachtenberg. “And the Predator creature in this one, it’s the first time it’s traveled to Earth.”

Amber Middle of Thunder (“Legion”) stars in upcoming Hulu movie Predator film Prey as a Comanche woman who goes against gender norms and traditions to become a warrior. Located in the Comanche Nation 300 years ago, Prey is the story of a young warrior named Naru.
Naru was raised in the shadow of some of the most legendary hunters that roam the Great Plains, so when danger threatens her camp, she sets out to protect her people. The prey she stalks and ultimately confronts turns out to be a highly evolved predator with an advanced arsenal, resulting in a vicious and terrifying showdown between the two adversaries.
