The Japanese manga series Fullmetal Alchemist made the jump to live-action in 2017, and today we learned that a two-part sequel to that movie is on the way this year.

The site reports, “Fukushūsha Scar (The Avenger’s Scar), will be released on May 20, and part 2, named Saigo no Rensei (The last transmutation), will be released on June 24.
Ryōsuke Yamada is back as main character Edward Elric for the sequel(s).

The manga series was written and illustrated by Hiromu Arakawa, originally published between 2001 and 2010. The best-selling series spawned various anime adaptations.
