“Everyone wants to be anywhere but here.” Netflix has revealed an official trailer for an action movie titled Interceptor, airing this summer from early June. It marks the feature debut from an Australian writer/producer named Matthew Reilly, who is directing from a screenplay he co-wrote with Stuart Beattie (Tomorrow when the war started, Me Frankenstein). An army captain must use her years of tactical training and military expertise when a coordinated terrorist attack threatens the remote missile intercept station she commands in the middle of the Pacific Ocean. Featuring Elsa Pataki as Captain JJ Collins, she is joined by Luc Bracey, Aaron Glenane, Mayen Mehta, Rhys Muldon, Belinda Jombwe, Marcus Johnson, Colin Frielsand Zoe Carides. It sure looks cheesy, but it’s also entertaining. I’m up for that! Always ready for a contained thriller with a badass woman who will kick all the bad guys in the ass.

With minutes on the clock, Collins must use her years of tactical training and military expertise to figure out who she can trust and stop Kessel and his secret mercenaries from carrying out their terrible and twisted mission. Interceptor is directed by an Australian writer/producer/filmmaker Matthew Reilly, making his directorial debut with this. The screenplay is by Matthew Reilly and Stuart Beattie.
