Dolph Lundgren and Scott Adkins re-team for action flick section eight

The hits keep coming for Dolph lundgren. The Hollywood Reporter today revealed that Lundgren, along with Scott Adkins and Ryan kwanten, will star in a new action movie, Section Eight.


Section Eight will center on the story of a former soldier who is serving a prison sentence after seeking revenge for those responsible for the murder of his family. When a mysterious government agency needs the soldier’s help, it kicks him out of prison and plunges him on an unforeseen journey.

The film, based on an original screenplay by Chad Law (The list of successes, Hard disk) and Josh ridgway (The area, Howlers), will be under the direction of Pay the dirt and The night shift‘s Christian sesma and produced by Firebrand.

Although this will mark Kwanten (Real blood) first confrontation with Lundgren and Adkins (Boyka: Undisputed), this will not be the case for the last two. Lundgren and Adkins will now add a fifth notch to their on-screen appearances together, both having starred in The Expendables 2, Universal Soldier: Reckoning Day, Legendary, and the unpublished Castle Falls.

From this mighty trio, at the head of Firebrand Brandon’s terriers said: “We couldn’t be more excited to have such an amazing cast Section Eight. Dolph, Scott and Ryan are so unique in their talents that we can’t wait to see them go head to head on the big screen. These sentiments are sure to be echoed by action fans the world over.

And for all men, the announcement of this new film marks another recent project. Lundgren recently directed, produced and starred in the Christmas comedy Puppies alone and Chateau Falls and is even getting ready to reprise his role as King Nereus in Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom. Not only that, but he recently confirmed that he will be returning for the fourth Consumables Payment. Adkins hasn’t been less busy this year, as the actor is currently filming. John Wick: Chapter 4 and A shot after recently packing Day shift, a new Netflix movie that also stars Jamie foxx. Looks like they’ve hired the busiest trio in Hollywood, as even Kwanten leaned into projects left and right. Kwanten’s recent credits include a lead role in the Crackle series The oath, Blumhouse Television Sacred lies, and the drama series FX Kinship.


With their schedules stacked, we’ll have the chance to get another awesome action from three of Hollywood’s biggest stars. Currently, there is no release date for Section Eight, but stay tuned to Collider for more information as it becomes available.
