Charlize Theron’s New Netflix Fantasy Movie Begins Filming

Big-budget fantasy has become a specialty of Netflix, with many of the streaming service’s most popular original movies and TV shows falling firmly within the genre’s boundaries. Based on Soman Chainani’s book series, the story takes place in a location known as Endless Woods and follows best friends Sophie and Agatha as they attend the titular learning institute, where the young are trained to become heroes or villains, with our fearless heroines being naturally separated. Sophia Anne Caruso and Sofia Wylie will play the two lead roles, while the supporting cast will see Theron joined by Kerry Washington, Laurence Fishburne and Michelle Yeoh.

The last time Feig tackled the fantastic blockbuster it didn’t go very well, but he’s a solid filmmaker with the right material and the cast alone is enough to make sure that The school of good and evil deserves to be watched as it progresses in production.
